An exciting storyline
In the village of Saint Philbert le Vieil, the atmosphere is joyful. Sybèle and Aldéric ‘s love is finally crowned by marriage. The two lovers are about to tie the knot for life, surrounded by the other villagers. However, this jovial atmosphere is soon disrupted by the appearance of the dreadful longships. Rising from the flames, they carry the dreaded Vikings who have come to conquer this once peaceful village.
Faced with this attack, a struggle breaks out to protect the village. The inhabitants show great courage in driving the enemies from their land. This battle is majestically portrayed through elaborate choreography and incredible special effects.
This breathtaking show features two very special actors: Musher and Meskil. These two Czech wolfdogs are an integral part of the show, much to the delight of the audience. Real stars on the Puy du Fou social networks, you’ll have the opportunity to see their participation in this epic reconstruction.
Vikings: meticulous preparation
This intense show lasts about half an hour. The space can accommodate up to 3,000 spectators. Authentic materials were used to build a realistic set worthy of the park’s worldwide reputation. To anchor the scenes in the heart of the medieval era, a 22 m tower was built.
You’ll also find 20 m-long drakkars and captivating flames. The Puy du Fou team has even created underwater waterfalls. All these elements are set against the backdrop of the park’s century-old forest, adding even more liveliness to this ingenious performance.
Things to know before you visit
If you’d like to discover this spectacle of the Middle Ages and travel back to the year 1000, you should know that the Puy du Fou will be back in operation on April 8. If you’re going with your family, you can take advantage of reduced rates by booking online. For example, for two parents and two children aged between 3 and 13, you’ll pay 114 euros instead of 142 euros.
