Le Mime et l’Étoile, a show that pays tribute to period cinema
Le Mime et l’Étoile is a great show that has been setting the Puy du Fou stage alight since April 8, 2023. Cinephiles, this show is for you! The story takes place in 1914, in the era of black-and-white silent cinema, à la Charlie Chaplin. It’s as if you’re watching the making of a brand-new film, starring Garance, a new star of the 7th art. At her side is Mimoza, the dreamy young mime. Under the astonished gaze of the audience, he performs a thousand tricks and illusions to impress Garance, his heart’s desire.
In fact, the director believes that only a sincere love between the Mime and the Star can restore color and voice to his characters. But a dramatic event disrupts the shooting and the life of the young Gypsy… Suspense! You’ll have to see the show to find out what happens next.
Le Mime et l’Étoile, a revolutionary 27-minute show. However, it took 3 long years of preparation and the hard work of an entire team to put it together. That includes 120 talented characters who bring the magic to the audience. And let’s not forget the 2 kilometers of sets, moving props, black-and-white period costumes, the purchase of a real movie camera… In all, the Parc du Puy du Fou invested 20 million euros to create this grandiose show. So, don’t you think it’s worth a look?

Le Puy du Fou welcomes you all year round, with different opening times depending on the season. In summer, it’s open from 9.30 a.m. to 10.30 p.m. To find out about opening days, visit the Puy du Fou website! You’ll find all the information you need: shows, ticketing, calendar, weather, access… As for prices, admission to the park costs 53 euros a day, and 37 euros for children under 14.
